We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to help oversee the daily operations of pharmacy fulfillment for a well-established and growing direct-to-patient healthcare company. The Supervisor will manage a team of pharmacy technicians, providing hands‑on training, coaching, and performance oversight to ensure consistency in operational standards and procedures.
You will support the accurate and timely fulfillment of prescription and non‑prescription medications, promote a team‑oriented work culture centered on quality, safety, and efficiency. You will work to streamline fulfillment operations and ensure optimal performance, maintaining a continuous improvement mindset. This role is essential to the success of fulfillment operations and will ensure compliance and readiness for inspections.
The Pharmacy Technician Supervisor will- Lead, coach, and mentor a team of pharmacy technicians through hands‑on support, real‑time feedback, and clear performance expectations.
- Own technician onboarding, training, and ongoing skills development to ensure strong SOP adherence and consistent execution.
- Support scheduling and staffing to maintain adequate coverage and smooth workflow across all shifts.
- Oversee end‑to‑end fulfillment activities (picking, packing, shipping) to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and on‑time order completion.
- Serve as the primary on‑floor contact for daily operational issues, escalating to pharmacy leadership as needed.
- Partner with pharmacists and cross‑functional teams (operations, care, product) to quickly resolve order and shipping issues.
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment to maintain throughput and minimize downtime.
- Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory compliance, reinforcing adherence to all standards, policies, and procedures.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying workflow gaps and helping implement process and operational enhancements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, inspection‑ready environment aligned with company and regulatory requirements.
- Step in to support order processing and technician tasks as needed to meet volume and service goals.
- Perform additional operational duties as assigned by pharmacy leadership.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- California Pharmacy Technician license is required.
- At least 2 years of people‑management experience in a high‑volume setting (operations, fulfillment, manufacturing, warehouse, retail, or similar), including coaching, performance evaluations, and day‑to‑day performance management.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team in a fast‑paced fulfillment environment.
- Empathy, patience, and professionalism in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and decision‑making skills, particularly under time pressure.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and compliance.
- Comfort working with automation and technology‑enabled workflows.
- Proactive, improvement‑focused mindset with experience contributing to cross‑functional problem solving.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and a highly collaborative working style.
