Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer / Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced environment. This is a temporary role (no conversion) covering for a team member on leave. The role focuses on processing purchase orders, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accuracy across purchasing and invoicing activities.

The ideal candidate is organized, thrives under pressure, and has strong communication skills to manage multiple priorities effectively. Responsibilities

Create, process, and maintain purchase orders and blanket order releases
Compile and maintain purchasing data, records, and documentation
Contact vendors and suppliers to obtain quotes and maintain relationships
Expedite orders and follow up to ensure timely delivery
Resolve discrepancies related to invoices, payments, and customer issues
Research product specifications to ensure accuracy when details are unclear
Maintain product file integrity and accurate data within systems
Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders
Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Required Qualifications

3 5 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or buyer roles
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Outlook; Excel preferred)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to problem-solve and meet deadlines efficiently

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor s degree (Business, Communications, or related field preferred)
Intermediate Excel skills
Experience with purchasing systems or ERP tools
