The City of Santa Clara is a vibrant community (pop. 132,048) 45 miles south of San Francisco, in the heart of Silicon Valley. The City seeks a forward-thinking transportation professional with experience in both traffic engineering and transportation planning. The Transportation Manager will lead a team of seven talented professionals in managing the City’s comprehensive long-range transportation plans and addressing immediate traffic operation needs.

The ideal candidate will be an engaged and supportive manager who can foster a collaborative, productive team environment. They will have experience developing master and specific plans and bring strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. Exceptional project management and organizational skills, and the ability to build strong relationships, will also be essential in this role.

Requires four years of progressive experience in a traffic engineering office, including two years as a manager, a bachelor’s degree, and a PE or Traffic Engineering license.
