Schedule: Monday thru Friday
Shift start time: 8:00 am - 10:00
Hours: 8+ hours per day; 40+ per week

Blue Robotics is looking for a short-term Assembly Technician to join our production team building underwater vehicles, thrusters, lights, sensors, and other products. As an Assembly Technician, each component that you assemble will go out into the world to help explore shipwrecks, study endangered species, map the ocean floor, and generally advance human understanding of the oceans.
We are looking for an Assembly Technician to join our team for 3 months to help cover while some team members are on leave. We provide hands-on training to ensure you are confident following assembly procedures for our products. There are opportunities to earn overtime if you are interested.
Key Responsibilities:
- Consistently assemble products that meet quality standards;
- Complete manufacturing orders in a timely manner;
- Package and label products;
- Maintain detailed notes on each job;
- Report scrap and waste;
- Maintain an orderly workstation;
- Follow safety guidelines;
- Communicate production issues as they arise;
- Take the initiative to stay up-to-date on production processes;
- Complete other tasks as needed from time to time
- Able to follow both written and verbal instructions;
- Comfortable using basic tools (screwdriver, drill, tape gun, etc.);
- High School diploma or GED;
- Able to lift 30+ lbs;
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply and divide);
- Experience soldering and assembling products;
- Experience working in a warehouse/manufacturing environment;
- Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment a plus!
Assembly Technicians carry trays of products from one workstation to the next for assembly. Most work is completed while sitting down, although some workstations require standing. Additionally, this position requires carrying, pulling/pushing, bending, kneeling, stooping, reaching, as well as using basic hand tools. Soldering and assembly requires excellent visual capability with or without corrective lenses. Team members will be lifting objects weighing 30 lbs frequently.
The pay range for this role is:
20 - 24 USD per hour (HQ)
