Tekberry is looking for a highly qualified and motivated Masker to work on-site with our client, a worldwide designer, manufacturer, and integrator of precision control components company. This position is 100% on-site at the Torrance, CA facility and requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. As a W2 employee, you will have access to health benefits.
Responsibilities

• Mask or unmask various products and parts for painting or selective plating.
• Interpret blueprints, work instructions, and both written and verbal directions to determine the most effective masking procedures.
• Use masking tape, paint, wax, and protective devices to selectively mask specific sections of parts or assemblies.
• Utilize various hand tools such as punches, scissors, brushes, knives, and razor blades to cut and remove tape or other coverings.
• Apply and remove protective coatings on parts according to instructions.
• Remove tape, wax, paint, and other protective coatings following completion of painting or plating.
• Touch up paint-damaged parts using a brush.
• Adhere to all processing specifications to meet blueprint and quality requirements.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and organization of the work area.
• Follow all FAA and company compliance guidelines.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Must-Have Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions.
• Computer-literate and comfortable with compliance documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to distinguish colors (color vision required).
• Experience using hand tools for masking or finishing applications.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift and comply with safety and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with selective painting or plating processes.
• Prior masking or finishing experience in an aerospace or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with FAA-regulated manufacturing standards.
