What you’ll be responsible for in this role

This role contributes to Health‑Ade’s success by overseeing shift manufacturing and production operations, with a strong emphasis on sanitation. The supervisor will ensure all sanitation processes meet regulatory and company standards while supporting production and maintenance teams to maintain efficient plant operations.

Job Duties Sanitation Oversight (Primary)
  • Lead and support sanitation team members to ensure all cleaning and sanitation tasks are completed.
  • Direct and monitor all sanitation workers and schedule sanitation activities in accordance with the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS).
  • Drive engagement, development, and performance of all team members.
  • Direct SSOP program and master sanitation program; verify compliance by the sanitation crew, review, and maintain all documentation.
  • Provide or coordinate ongoing training and ensure development of the sanitation crew to possess active working knowledge of all sanitation and cleaning procedures.
  • Execute and support CIP, COP, and external sanitation activities per approved procedures.
  • Ensure cleaning/sanitation chemicals and tools are being used safely, correctly, and effectively.
  • Work with the Production Manager to identify resource needs.
  • Control the Sanitation Department budget by properly utilizing resources and developing cost‑saving ideas.
  • Participate in selection, discipline, evaluation, and development of department members.
  • Order required supplies for sanitation processes.
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Department with inspection and testing activities through stages of the manufacturing processes to ensure internal and regulatory standards are met.
  • Collaborate with QA, Production, and Maintenance staff to solve food safety and quality issues.
  • Maintain product quality through adherence to good manufacturing practices, Food Safety Preventative Controls, product specifications, and quality procedures.
  • Monitor and document quality measures using analytical tools.
  • Demonstrate and understand safety as our core value and follow the key essentials to safety set forth by our safety resolution; coach others to do the same.
  • Understand and follow established safety guidelines, consistently comply with all safety procedures (e.g., PPE, Lock‑Out Tag‑Out).
  • Reinforce safe practices to other team members and provide coaching when witnessing unsafe practices.
  • Act as a safety change agent (e.g., CPR/First Aid certification; active engagement in safety committee, driving safety initiatives for the department).
  • Perform other duties as needed in support of business objectives and Health‑Ade Mission & Values.
  • Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
  • Onboard and train sanitation employees, including MSS expectations, chemical safety, CIP/COP basics, and external cleaning standards.
