Join our team as a CNC Machinist II, where you will play a vital role in manufacturing precision parts using state-of-the-art equipment. In this role, you will work with CNC machines, focusing on producing high-quality components while maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set up CNC machines, including HAAS Mills and Mori Seiki Lathes.
• Interpret blueprints and G codes to guide machining processes.
• Perform daily setups on both lathe and mill machines.
• Ensure precision and quality by using various measurement tools such as calipers.
• Engage in machining legacy parts and manage the workflow through multiple phases including machining, deburring, plating, assembly, and drill press CNC.
• Strive to meet the shop's goal of maintaining a 1% scrap rate.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain an organized and efficient machine shop.

Essential Skills

• 3-5 years of experience in CNC machining.
• Proficiency with lathe and mill operations.
• Ability to interpret and work from blueprints and G codes.
• Experience with tight tolerances and precision work.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with magnetics is beneficial but not required.
• Willingness to train and work on two machines simultaneously.
• Comfort with legacy parts and regimented setup and tooling procedures.

Work Environment

The position is based in a machine shop environment where you will work with advanced CNC equipment. The shop follows regimented setups and tooling procedures, emphasizing precision and minimal scrap. You will have access to a variety of measurement tools and work on diverse machining tasks. Dress code is practical, suitable for a hands-on workshop setting.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
