We are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer for a part-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced non-destructive testing systems, contributing to innovative hardware and software solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. • Select, test, and integrate system components for achieving optimal performance
• Develop user interfaces and software for hardware control and data acquisition
• Develop algorithms and software for data analysis and image processing
• Collaborate with other team members to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality solutions
• Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.

Required:

• Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in developing software for hardware control and data acquisition
• Experience in programming hardware via Ethernet, serial, and USB interfaces
• Proficiency in Python
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team to achieve project goals.

Preferred:

• Familiarity with X-ray technology or related equipment
• Experience with image processing and data analysis
• Proficiency in C++ or C
• Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics schematics
• Background in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industries
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
