Role DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Embedded Software Engineer for a part-time, on-site position in Torrance, CA. In this role, you will design, develop, and test advanced non-destructive testing systems, contributing to innovative hardware and software solutions that meet the unique needs of our clients. Key Responsibilities:- Select, test, and integrate system components for achieving optimal performance
- Develop user interfaces and software for hardware control and data acquisition
- Develop algorithms and software for data analysis and image processing
- Collaborate with other team members to meet project milestones and deliver high-quality solutions
- Prepare technical reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Required:
- Must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in developing software for hardware control and data acquisition
- Experience in programming hardware via Ethernet, serial, and USB interfaces
- Proficiency in Python
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and collaborate in a team to achieve project goals.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with X-ray technology or related equipment
- Experience with image processing and data analysis
- Proficiency in C++ or C
- Ability to understand and troubleshoot analog and digital electronics schematics
- Background in aerospace, defense, or related high-tech industries
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
