Process Planner Torrance, CA LA Manufacturing – Avionics

Castelion is seeking an Avionics Production Scheduler to own production planning and schedule execution across PCBA, harnessing, electrical integration, and avionics test. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Inventory to ensure hardware is available and production priorities support vehicle build requirements.

• Develop and maintain daily, weekly, and long-range production schedules for avionics manufacturing.
• Translate vehicle and program demand into production requirements for PCBAs, harnesses, electrical assemblies, and test activities.
• Identify material, labor, equipment, and capacity constraints that could impact schedule.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Inventory, and Engineering to resolve shortages and production blockers.
• Prioritize hardware through shared manufacturing and test resources.
• Track schedule performance and communicate risks, changes, and recovery plans.
• Support capacity planning and production-rate increases as manufacturing scales.
• Improve scheduling tools, reporting, and processes through automation and continuous improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree with 1+ year of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or operations; or 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience working with ERP/MRP systems in a manufacturing environment.

• Experience supporting aerospace, defense, electronics, or high-mix manufacturing.
• Familiarity with PCBA, wire harness, electrical integration, or electronics manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Excel, SQL, Power BI, Smartsheet, Jira, or similar tools.
• Ability to work effectively across Manufacturing, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams.
• Experience with capacity planning, Lean manufacturing, or continuous improvement.
