Volunteer: Nonprofit Tax Filings

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections.

A Healthier, Happier Me (AHHM) is a small nonprofit organization with a limited number of transactions and a modest annual budget. We are seeking pro bono assistance from a volunteer with nonprofit accounting or tax experience to help ensure compliance and sound financial practices.

• IRS Form 990-N (e-Postcard)
• California Form 199-N
• California RRF-1 (Attorney General Registry of Charitable Trusts)
• High-level review of 2025 financial statements to confirm there are no issues or red flags
• Practical recommendations for our bookkeeper to strengthen accuracy, documentation, and processes

Assist with maintaining detailed financial statements and tax compliance so that our nonprofit can maintain our tax exempt status and continue serving our community.

We have financial documents/ statements ready for review and will make these accessible to our volunteer.
