General SummaryProvide field‑based case management services within the workers’ compensation industry by applying professional judgment and discretion, using the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), ISYS, and customer guidelines. Facilitate appropriate, timely medical care, implement case‑management strategies, and coordinate across all parties to enable optimal recovery outcomes, including return to work determination, file progression toward permanent designation, and cost containment for the customer.
Resolve claims proactively through communication, research, and actionable recommendations.
- Drive frequently throughout designated geographic service areas to attend in‑person appointments and visits, including potential overnight or air travel as needed.
- Manage cases assigned by ISYS, including rush/same‑day referrals and visits scheduled during facility operating hours.
- Autonomously coordinate weekly and daily work activities, schedule, and prioritize tasks for optimal time management.
- Conduct on‑site case‑management services following CMSA guidelines and ISYS protocols.
- Coordinate, facilitate, and complete in‑person attendance at physician appointments, hospital visits, case conferences, home visits, and ancillary provider appointments to support timely treatment recommendations.
- Lead professional discussions with medical providers about diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.
- Apply case‑management processes to facilitate timely treatment and recovery, aiming for maximal recovery and return to work.
- Provide proactive, timely communication and coordinate collaboration with all parties, in person, by phone, or in writing.
- Support injured worker’s progress toward maximum medical improvement and realistic return‑to‑work opportunities by exploring viable options with involved parties.
