Staff Developer/Clinical Trainer

Centrally located in Torrance, California, Sunnyside Nursing and Post-Acute Care provides sub-acute nursing care, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing, and long-term care. Our compassionate staff offers individualized care plans for each resident to ensure personalized care is provided to all our patients with a goal to return home.

The Staff Developer/Clinical Trainer plays a vital role in delivering education and training programs for the facility, ensuring that all staff members are well-equipped to provide high-quality care to our residents. This position is designed to enhance the competencies of nursing staff and promote best practices throughout the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning, organizing, delivering, and evaluating all staff development activities and training programs with specific concentration on licensed and registered nurses.
  • Developing educational materials and programs for in-service training aimed at enhancing staff skills and knowledge.
  • Monitoring and assessing training effectiveness and staff performance, providing feedback and mentoring as necessary.
  • Collaborating with facility leadership to ensure alignment of staff development initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations concerning nursing associate staff training.
  • Conducting needs assessments and identifying opportunities for improvement in training and development.
  • Participating in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
  • Reporting to the Director of Staff Education or Chief Clinical Officer regarding staff training progress and outcomes.
