Position Summary

The Nurse Educator plays a vital role in advancing the clinical knowledge, skills, and performance of field staff across all markets. This position is responsible for designing, enhancing, and delivering high‑quality training programs that ensure clinical excellence, regulatory compliance, and optimal patient care. The Nurse Educator provides instruction on a wide range of clinical procedures, including vaccine administration, point‑of‑care testing, phlebotomy, diabetic retinal imaging, bone density testing, EKG performance, documentation in Athena Health, and the use of mobile health technologies and equipment.

This position requires flexibility to visit existing and emerging markets to deliver training, support quality assurance initiatives, and ensure consistent application of best practices. The Nurse Educator is a key contributor to cultivating a culture of learning, clinical excellence, and patient safety, while supporting the organization’s mission to deliver innovative and compassionate healthcare services.

Responsibilities
  • Enhance and deliver clinical training programs for field staff, including vaccine administration, point‑of‑care testing, phlebotomy, diabetic retinal imaging, bone density testing, EKG performance, documentation in Athena Health, and use of mobile health technology and equipment.
  • Maintain and manage a monthly retraining calendar across all markets.
  • Support new state rollouts by training incoming staff and adapting educational materials to local needs.
  • Conduct competency assessments and provide feedback to ensure clinical excellence.
  • Collaborate with operations and clinical leadership to identify training gaps and implement solutions.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for field staff, offering guidance and mentorship.
  • Visit new and existing markets as needed to support training and quality assurance.
  • Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with active license in NY or CA (multi‑state licensure preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of clinical experience, preferably in community health, mobile medicine, or urgent care.
  • Valid Driver’s License (minimum of 2 years) and acceptable driving record.
  • Prior experience in clinical education or training is strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Athena Health and mobile health technologies.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Self‑starter with a passion for health equity and serving vulnerable populations.
  • Willingness to travel based on program needs.
  • Knowledge and experience with addressing Social Determinants of Health.
