Description

Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) – Labor and Delivery at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA.

This position will oversee and lead the team of nursing clinicians.

The Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM) is a professional registered nurse reporting to the unit director/manager who uses the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned shift. The ANM supports the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating services of the unit and provides managerial presence for all shifts.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and lead the nursing team in the Labor and Delivery unit.
  • Apply the nursing process to manage clinical and operational activities within the assigned shift.
  • Support the unit director/manager in planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating the unit’s services.
  • Provide managerial presence for all shifts.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree – Graduate from School of Nursing (BS or BSN).
  • California Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Recent clinical experience in an acute care hospital.
  • Recent experience in Labor and Delivery Nursing.
  • Charge Nurse/Relief Charge Nurse experience.
  • Leadership experience.
  • Shared Governance experience.
