Description

The Nurse Assistant (NA) role is a non‑licensed health‑care employee who performs delegated routine and predictable patient care tasks and duties under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Duties include EKGs, vital signs, basic patient care and transportation. The NA responds appropriately to patients and families, with knowledge of age‑specific needs based on the scope of service of the unit/department where assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate of any accredited Certified Nursing Assistant program, a Nursing Assistant program, or completion of the 2nd semester of an accredited Nursing Program.
  • Or completion of coursework or training that demonstrates equivalency such as experience as a corpsman, EMT, foreign‑licensed RN or MD, medical assistant, or caregiver.
  • Upon hire:
    National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 year previous Nurse Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience in a hospital or post‑acute environment.

Competitive pay ranging from $25.00 to $33.78 per hour, with additional compensation opportunities such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
