Description
ACCESS South Bay is seeking an ER Lead to join our growing team!
Bonus Opportunity- For Registered Veterinary Technicians: $10,000 Total ($5,000 Sign‑On Bonus, $2,500 retention bonus at 12 months, $2,500 retention bonus at 24 months – Subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms).
- For Veterinary Assistants: up to $5,000 Total ($2,500 Sign‑On Bonus, $2,500 Retention Bonus after 1 Year – Subject to eligibility and bonus agreement terms).
Bonus eligibility and payout terms apply.
Job Purpose- Provide primary point of contact through which all technical questions, comments, concerns, and issues can be handled.
- Decrease the time spent by doctors and technical staff replicating responsibilities or missing duties by providing oversight for all technical employees in the moment.
- Oversee the individuals working on any given shift to ensure their work product is excellent.
- Review any patient/doctors issues that come up in the moment to allow for expedient and satisfactory resolution.
- Assign patients to the appropriate group based on case severity and knowledge of technical skill level of group technical employees.
- Update full patient census forms and patient board regularly during shift.
- Update triage board as necessary in a Triage‑Center‑In‑Certification‑Process hospital.
- Ensure rounds are being appropriately handled as patients are transferred from one person to the next.
- Act as primary person for resource management of technical staff within the Emergency Department.
- As assigned by the Technician Manager, train staff in any technical areas requested.
- Be primary key‑holder or Cubex resource as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of ER experience in a lead/supervisor role.

Compensation – $29 – $39/hr + $2/hr differential.
