mistras is seeking an nde assistant to support ndt level ii and level iii technicians with inspection and testing activities. This is a hands-on position providing an opportunity to gain valuable experience in the non-destructive testing field.

candidates must be local to the los angeles, ca area. Relocation assistance is not available, and non-local candidates will not be considered.

• assist ndt technicians with inspection and testing activities.
• prepare equipment and work areas for ndt examinations.
• assist with equipment setup, handling, and cleanup.
• follow established procedures and safety requirements.
• maintain a clean and organized work area.
• support technicians with general field duties as assigned.
• follow all company and client safety and quality requirements.

• high school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• previous ndt experience or training is a plus.
• ability to work in industrial and field environments.
• ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• valid driver's license required.

• twic card – highly preferred
• current radiation safety state card – highly preferred
• ndt classroom training or previous ndt experience
• familiarity with ndt methods such as ut, mt, pt, rt, or vt

• ability to lift and carry equipment and materials as required.
• ability to work outdoors and in industrial environments.
• ability to work in confined or elevated areas when required.
• must be able to work extended hours based on project needs.
