Collaborate with other associates to build a strong meat team; communicate with the team and be flexible to the needs of the business, including working in other areas. - Be an Expert:
Demonstrate knowledge of business on the floor, backroom operations, product safety standards, sanitation guidelines, inventory management, and operation, maintenance, and sanitization of equipment; prepare meat products such as cutting, grinding, wrapping, trimming; cut boneless meat products; and maintain product quality standards. - Be a Techie:
Leverage digital tools to drive sales, improve the shopping experience, and elevate associate engagement; use handheld technology to make immediate business decisions related to production, training, and product quality with the member in mind; adapt to new tools and encourage others to use them. - Be an Owner:
Ensure commitment to operational excellence, keep work area in accordance with company policies; maintain quality and date‑control standards for meat products; secure fragile and high‑shrink merchandise; eliminate waste; assist members with purchasing decisions; and ensure merchandise is properly packaged, labeled, and stored per company policies. - Be a Talent Ambassador:
Advocate for the department and the club by valuing the member’s experience in the meat area and modeling high‑quality service and products; execute the basics at the highest possible level; exhibit energy, commitment, and passion for the work. - Complete work assignments and priorities by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and other business partners; identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress and information; determine and recommend ways to address improvement opportunities; and adapt to change, difficulty, and feedback.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by implementing related action plans, using the Open Door Policy, and applying these in executing business processes and practices.
