The Licensed Optician delivers the brand value proposition and helps establish Lens Crafters as the premier destination for all vision needs within the community. The role creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering legendary customer service and perfectly crafted high‑quality eyewear that exceeds customers’ expectations.

• Welcome all customers and set expectations with customers
• Custom fit glasses and precisely place prescriptions in lenses
• Act as a leader in optical acumen
• Take and record measurements, accurately adjust/fit eyewear with attention to detail, and ensure finished eyewear meets standards and customer needs
• Assist team with complex product needs and prescriptions
• Use technology accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume; demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and use of appropriate tools
• Be proactive, explore root causes of issues, think forward, and ensure customers are satisfied with expectations exceeded
• Multi‑task, prioritize, and manage time with competing priorities
• Strive to achieve exceptional results on Brand KPIs and competencies
• Maintain store appearance, keeping the store clean, attractive, and organized
• Inform management of safety opportunities and demonstrate safe work practices
• Be resourceful, self‑motivated, and dedicated to continual learning, improvement, and results
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including discounts, promotions, and inventory management

• High school graduate or equivalent
• State licensure
• Optical dispensing experience
• Strong customer service skills: communicator, listener and team builder
• Knowledge of current store merchandise
• Strong basic math skills
• Awareness of current fashion trends
• Selling skills – ability to use and carry an iPad/tablet
• Familiarity with POS, computers and calculators
• Embrace new technology and change

• Previous customer service and retail experience

Pay Range: 25.02–39.02

This posting is for an existing vacancy within our business. Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first‑class total rewards package.
