Japanese Bilingual Sales Coordinator
Location: Torrance, CA (Hybrid, 3 days/week onsite)
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
FLSA Status: Exempt, Full‑Time, Direct Hire
OverviewAu international distribution company in automotive industry is seeking a driven Sales Coordinator in Torrance. This role is primarily desk‑based, focuses on order management using Excel. You will also manage customer inquiries, and sales data report generation, collaborating closely with internal teams to ensure excellent customer service. Up to 10% business travel is expected, with most client meetings conducted virtually.
Candidates should be Japanese bilingual, highly motivated, and have an intermediate to advanced level of Excel skill.
Key Responsibilities- Build and maintain strong business relationships through phone, email, and occasional in-person meetings.
- Prepare quotes, negotiate pricing, and coordinate shipping schedules by working closely with internal departments and external vendors.
- Manage sales and order data using Excel, including creating spreadsheets, tracking orders, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain accurate records of customer orders and communications in the company database.
- Research market trends, pricing, and competitor activities to support the development of effective sales strategies.
- Collaborate with international headquarters and cross‑functional teams to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Attend trade shows and industry events to expand the company's network and market presence.
- Perform additional duties as needed to support the sales team and contribute to overall company success.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Sales Support or related role, including the use of Excel spreadsheets.
- Bilingual in Japanese and English (conversational level or higher).
- Willingness to travel domestically (up to 10%).
- Valid driver's license and reliable personal transportation required.
- Strong customer‑service mindset with a proactive, solution‑oriented approach.
- Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
