The Global Account Director, Consumer Vertical is a senior role focused on developing and maintaining business for key global consumer accounts. The position involves selling and enhancing logistics solutions such as road, freight forwarding, contract logistics, customs brokerage, and other value‑added services. It is critical to establish and sustain long‑term strategic relationships that go beyond single point solutions, requiring strong analytical skills and industry knowledge.
Duties & Responsibilities- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to maintain existing business and identify key growth opportunities.
- Manage named global consumer accounts in accordance with agreed financial and performance targets.
- Develop solutions for named customers, leveraging DSV’s vertical structure and competencies for innovative outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with operations to deliver high‑level service to customers.
- Identify and develop relationships with key decision makers at all levels within an account.
- Understand customers’ buying processes and business (strategic, operational, and financial).
- Work across all DSV divisions to create custom solutions that deliver value to customers.
- Maintain open dialogue with the account executive sponsor and keep the sponsor engaged in the account.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in logistics and supply chain management.
- Minimum 5 years of recent global account sales experience.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in the logistics and supply chain industry.
- Subject‑matter expert knowledge of the industry.
- Proven track record of sales success within the industry.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and related software.
Language
Skills:
English (reading, writing, verbal).
Mathematical
Skills:
Advanced mathematical skills for project development.
Other
Skills:
Advanced business acumen, strong creative problem‑solving and analytical skills, self‑motivated team player, willing to travel frequently.
Base salary range: $ – $ per year, plus performance‑based incentives and benefits above market standards.

Physical Demands & Work EnvironmentJob requires manual handling of objects and use of computer and telephone equipment. Duties may include traveling by land, air, and sea. The work environment is an office setting with moderate noise levels.
