- Maintain and expand relationships with existing commercial clients, including Japanese restaurants, Asian grocery stores, and food distributors.
- Identify target market opportunities, conduct cold calls, and conduct client visits to generate new business opportunities across Southern California.
- Present product catalogs, introduce new Japanese food items, and organize product tastings for culinary clients.
- Process sales orders, coordinate shipment logistics with warehouse teams, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, gather competitor pricing intelligence, and report field observations to management.
- Participate in regional food expos, trade shows, and promotional events to enhance brand visibility.
- 1-3 years of sales, customer service, or account management experience, preferably in the food/beverage or retail industry.
- Business-level Japanese language skills to effectively liaise with Japanese vendors, corporate management, and clients.
- Professional English communication skills for negotiating contracts and conducting sales presentations with local buyers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and basic CRM/sales software.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude.
