The Mechanic Position performs advanced diagnostic, repair, and maintenance tasks on complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems, ensuring optimal vehicle performance and safety. This role requires the ability to execute intricate maintenance and repairs with minimal supervision, delivering high-quality results. • Engine Diagnosis and Repair:
  Diagnose and repair a range of engine types, including diesel, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell engines, utilizing diagnostic tools to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and long-term durability.
• Technical Leadership and Mentorship:
  Serve as a technical resource for Mechanic Helpers and Mechanic IV team members, providing guidance on diagnostics and repair procedures, enhancing team skills and performance.
• Troubleshoot and Repair Engine and Body Accessories:
  Heating and Air Conditioning Systems;
  Electrical Components (alternators, generators, voltage regulators);
  Suspension, Braking, and Steering Systems.
• Electrical and Pneumatic System Maintenance:
  Diagnose and repair electrical systems (gauges, interior and exterior lights, electric motors); maintain pneumatic valves, control cables, and linkages.
• Routine and General Maintenance Tasks:
  Perform routine lubrication tasks, engine oil/filter changes, air filter replacements, chassis lubrication; change transmission fluid and filters, check differential fluid, and replace tires; remove and install components such as seats, brake drums, brake shoes, and suspension parts.
• Advanced Repairs and Replacements:
  Repair or replace radiators, water pumps, hoses, wheel bearings, seals, door assemblies, seating components, and control systems.
• Glass Installations and Body Repairs:
  Assist in glass installations and perform basic body repairs to ensure high-quality workmanship.

• 5-10 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields, with preferred knowledge of engine, driveline, and electrical systems
• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Air and Passenger endorsements is preferred but not required
• High-Voltage (HV) Safety Certification and HV Maintenance/Repair Training are highly desired for work on hybrid and electric vehicles
• Diagnostic Tools:
  Proficiency with systems like Vansco, Cummins INSITE, and other diagnostic tools
• Precision Tools:
  Hydraulic presses, pullers, manometers, tachometers, decelerometers, and VOA instruments
• Measurement and Calibration Tools:
  Dial indicators, micrometers, reamers, and hones
• Pumps and Testing Equipment:
  Vacuum and compression pumps to test engine performance
• Fleet & Data Management Software:
  Experience with Oracle and Fleetio to track maintenance and manage fleet data
• Proficiency in computer literacy, including familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and other digital tools

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds with assistance
• Perform repetitive tasks including bending, kneeling, and crouching

• Climb ladders, work on elevated surfaces, and access tight or confined spaces
• Handle tools and components with precision

• Stand, walk, and work on concrete surfaces for extended periods (up to 8+ hours)

• Read diagnostic screens, inspect parts, and identify color-coded wires
• Detect unusual vehicle noises, alarms, or diagnostic indicators

• Work in varying conditions with exposure to noise, dust, fumes, and temperature fluctuations; wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots)
