Support Mission-Critical Aerospace Operations
Our client is seeking a Low Voltage Cable Technician I to support large-scale infrastructure projects for a leading aerospace and defense organization.
This role offers the opportunity to work on highly secure, mission-critical environments where precision, quality, and safety are essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience installing and supporting structured cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic infrastructure, within large commercial, industrial, government, or aerospace facilities. Technicians will play a key role in building and maintaining the communications networks that support advanced engineering, manufacturing, testing, and operational environments.
Schedule
Monday - Friday | Approximately 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Hours may vary based on project schedules, site requirements, and business needs. Overtime and occasional weekend work may be required to support project deadlines.
Work Location
Field-Based Position - Government Contractor Facilities
Projects are primarily located throughout Southern California and may include aerospace campuses, manufacturing facilities, research and development centers, testing laboratories, and government contractor sites. Travel between project locations is required.
Key Responsibilities
Including but not limited to:
+ Install, route, label, terminate, and test structured cabling systems, including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fiber optic cabling.
+ Support large-scale aerospace infrastructure projects involving data centers, manufacturing environments, engineering labs, and secure facilities.
+ Install cable pathways including conduit, J-hooks, cable tray, ladder rack, and other supporting infrastructure.
+ Perform copper and fiber optic termination activities in accordance with industry and project specifications.
+ Conduct testing, troubleshooting, certification, and documentation of installed cabling systems.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, cable schedules, and technical specifications.
+ Maintain compliance with customer quality standards, security requirements, and safety procedures.
+ Work collaboratively with project managers, lead technicians, engineers, and other trade partners to meet project milestones.
+ Prepare and submit daily reports, testing results, and project documentation.
+ Maintain clean, organized, and secure work areas within active aerospace and manufacturing environments.
Required Qualifications
+ 3+ years of low-voltage structured cabling experience.
+ Experience installing, pulling, dressing, terminating, and testing copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and telecommunications plans.
+ Strong understanding of structured cabling standards and industry best practices.
+ Professional communication skills and ability to work in highly regulated customer environments.
+ Reliable transportation and ability to transport required tools and equipment.
+ Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and Live Scan fingerprinting.
+ Eligible to work on government contractor and aerospace facilities.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders, working overhead, and standing for extended periods.
Preferred Qualifications
+ 2-3 years of fiber optic termination and testing experience.
+ Experience using Fluke certification equipment and other testing tools.
+ Previous experience supporting aerospace, defense, aviation, manufacturing, or government projects.
+ Knowledge of secure facility work environments and controlled-access procedures.
+ BICSI certification or related industry certifications preferred.

Additional Requirements
This position supports a major aerospace and government contractor environment. While an active security clearance is not required, candidates must be able to successfully pass all site access requirements, including comprehensive background screening, drug testing, and fingerprinting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
