The Express Lube Technician is responsible for performing vehicle maintenance work as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards.
Position is 100% on-site.
Hourly rate of $19.00 up to $21.00.
Essential Duties- Receive repair orders from dispatcher and take to stall area.
- Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Save and tag parts if the job is under warranty or if requested by the customer.
- Examine the vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Complete full multi-point inspection report.
- Notify service advisor immediately if services cannot be completed within the time promised.
- Document work performed.
- Road-test vehicles when required or requested, keeping in mind that the customer vehicle should not be used for personal errands.
- Complete On-Line training and attend factory-sponsored training classes.
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.
- Carries out a variety of vehicle repairs from, but not limited to, oil changes and tire rotations.
- Diagnoses cause of malfunction and perform repairs, as needed.
- Road tests vehicles to quality check work performed as required.
- Examines vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
- Maintains communication with Service Advisor/Assistant Service Manager (ASM) if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promise time.
- Completes all work according to the applicable safety requirements and published procedures.
- Documents all work performed and findings on repair orders and inspection sheets
- Achieves the production objectives set by management.
- Provides the administrative assistance necessary to complete warranty repair orders and other tasks assigned by management.
- Maintains communication with Parts Department on status or parts.
- Maintains tools and equipment in a proper state of repair.
- Maintains assigned workspace in an organized and clean manner.
- Maintains a high level of grooming, hygiene and uniform appearance.
- Performance other specific administrative functions as directed by the service management.
- Maintains high ethical standards in all actions.
- Ability to take direction and perform tasks efficiently and safely.
- Demonstrates safe workplace practices.
- Demonstrates safe driving skills.
- Basic lube technician skills:
Basic tool knowledge, oil change, tire rotation, filter replacement & inspect vehicle with knowledge of visual component failures. - Must have a valid driver’s license and have and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

Physical Demands- Stand for long periods at a time.
