Maintenance Technician
Eleven Recruiting is hiring for a Maintenance Technician to join a precision-driven aerospace and defense manufacturing facility in Torrance, CA. This onsite, Monday through Friday role supports a fast-paced production environment by executing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting complex systems, and ensuring facility-wide operational readiness.
This is a hands-on role ideal for a mechanically and electrically inclined technician who thrives in a high-mix, low-volume production setting and values safety, precision, and uptime.
Responsibilities:- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on CNC machines, facility systems, and production equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control system failures, using schematics, diagrams, and maintenance manuals.
- Change coolants, oils, lubricants, and other consumables per schedule using CMMS (eMaint) system and OEM specifications.
- Support installation, integration, and qualification of new machinery and production equipment, working alongside engineering.
- Execute Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and adhere to all internal EHS and OSHA safety standards during repairs and inspections.
- Assist with general facility upkeep, including basic plumbing, lighting, fire system monitoring, and HVAC awareness.
- Maintain and submit accurate records of maintenance activities, part usage, and work requests through CMMS.
- Proactively communicate equipment status, delays, and part requirements to the Facilities Supervisor.
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment uptime, workplace safety, and asset reliability.
- Other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably aerospace or high-precision machining.
- Hands-on knowledge of:
- HVAC systems and Fire Prevention Systems
- Pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures
- CMMS software (e.g., eMaint) for scheduling and recordkeeping
- Digital multimeters and basic electrical troubleshooting
- Reading mechanical drawings and electrical schematics
- Strong problem-solving and time management skills.
