Job Summary
The Carpenter's primary responsibility for this job is to build extensions for billboards.
Job ResponsibilitiesPerform skilled carpentry work in constructing, altering, and maintaining wooden/coroplast extensions to billboards based on specific client requests. Trace the shape of embellishment on plywood/coroplast and utilize saws to cut correct shapes. Assemble extensions using plywood, coroplast, support backings, metal rods and screws. Glue vinyl onto extensions and prepare for hanging. Build other items as necessary (i.e., sections for wrap-around posters, base sheets for billboards).
Coordinate disposal of embellishments. Assist posting department by organizing orders and loads. Order wood, knives, drills, and other supplies as needed. May be required to perform field and warehousing activities as workload requires (i.e., inventory, receiving, maintenance, and copy installations). May train bill posters and carpenters how to assemble embellishments and hang them properly. May hang test billboard in yard for client viewing.
May paint base sheets, supports, and remove graffiti on boards in the field. Assist other departments with carpentry and painting as needed. Requires ability to use all carpentry tools including power saw, planer, router, sander, and joiner. Other duties as assigned or requested.
High school diploma or GED, or equivalent work experience or military experience.
Work ExperienceOne (1) year experience in working with carpentry materials / techniques / methods.
SkillsMust have strong organizational and time management skills. Must be detail oriented. Ability to read, analyze and interpret verbal and written requests and directions. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Understanding of basic carpentry techniques and methods. Ability to interpret a variety of situations and instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Employee is required to lift, pull, and push material and equipment more than eighty-five pounds. Employee must have the ability to see written documents and computer screens, and to adjust focus.
Climb ladders and/or stairs and work at heights of one hundred feet or more. This job is performed in a warehouse environment. The requirements of the job include occasional exposure to dust and fumes. Duties are performed partially in an environment with forklifts and other moving equipment. Employee may be seasonally exposed to heat, cold and humidity as well as marked changes in temperature between the office and warehouse environments.
Compensation Range
The Targeted Compensation Range for this California position is:
Min: $25.00 Max: $26.27 Hourly roles are overtime eligible;
Installer roles are Productivity Pay eligible. Bonus eligible, subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan.
