HVAC Technician I

The HVAC Technician I is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVAC/R) systems. Under the guidance of the Chief Engineer, this position performs routine preventive maintenance, responds to basic service.

Shift: Monday - Friday | Day Shift

Payrate: hourly rate | Weekly pay

• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC equipment, including air handlers, rooftop units, split systems, heat pumps, chillers, boilers, and exhaust systems.
• Assist with diagnosing and repairing HVAC system malfunctions.
• Replace filters, belts, motors, thermostats, and other system components as directed.
• Inspect equipment and report any deficiencies or safety concerns.
• Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
• Assist with the installation of HVAC equipment, ductwork, piping, controls, and related components.
• Support equipment startup and operational testing.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, testing devices, and diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Technical school certification in HVAC, Refrigeration, or related field preferred.
• 3 years of HVAC maintenance or service experience.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, diagrams, and technical instructions.
