Total Compensation:
Typical annual earnings of approximately $75,000–$85,000, with the opportunity to earn $100,000 or more through performance-based bonuses

Residential electrical service, troubleshooting, repairs, panel upgrades, EV chargers, and safety evaluations
The Opportunity
B&M Electric is hiring an experienced Residential Service Electrician who can diagnose electrical problems, communicate clearly with homeowners, present repair options, and complete residential service work safely and professionally.
This is not a traditional construction-site electrician position. You will work directly with homeowners inside occupied homes, professionally running pre-scheduled service calls. You will evaluate the customer's concerns, complete a residential electrical safety assessment, explain your findings, provide clear repair or upgrade options, and perform approved work when practical.
The right candidate is technically capable, comfortable working independently, and motivated by a performance-based compensation structure. B&M Electric provides ongoing technical, customer-service, and sales training to help technicians increase their skills and earning potential.
What You Will Do- Travel to scheduled residential service calls in a company-provided vehicle.
- Review customer information and recorded call details through Service Titan before arriving.
- Diagnose residential electrical problems, including:
- Dead outlets
- Breaker and panel issues
- Flickering lights
- Faulty circuits
- Electrical safety concerns
- Perform residential repairs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and approved installations.
- Complete panel upgrades, main-breaker replacements, subpanel installations, and related service work.
- Install Level 2 EV chargers, including appropriate hardwired and receptacle-based installations.
- Conduct a standardized residential electrical safety evaluation.
- Photograph and document electrical conditions, recommendations, and completed work.
- Clearly explain technical findings to homeowners in understandable language.
- Present multiple repair or upgrade options using the company's pricing system.
- Complete smaller approved projects during the initial service visit when possible.
- Coordinate with the installation team when work requires a larger crew or a full-day installation.
- Accurately complete digital invoices, estimates, material requests, and job documentation.
- Maintain an organized and properly stocked company vehicle.
- Follow company customer-service procedures, safety standards, and communication expectations.
- Participate in twice-weekly customer-service, technical, and role-play training.
- At least 3 years of hands-on residential electrical experience.
- Experience working inside occupied residential homes.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete residential service work independently.
- Working knowledge of residential electrical systems, panels, breakers, circuits, grounding, and code requirements.
- Ability to communicate professionally and respectfully with homeowners.
- Comfortable explaining technical findings and presenting repair options.
- Ability to use a tablet, smartphone, digital forms, and field-service software.
- Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
- Reliable transportation to the Torrance reporting location.
- Ability to work Monday through Friday during standard service hours.
- Ability to work safely on ladders and in attics, crawl spaces, confined areas, and outdoor conditions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Electrical trade-school education or equivalent technical training.
- Experience using Service Titan or similar field-service software.
- Experience with residential panel upgrades and permitting processes.
- Experience using flat-rate pricing systems.
- Customer-service, estimating, or in-home sales experience.
