Salary Range: $33.80 To $46.00 Hourly

Volvo Cars of South Bay is looking for an experienced Automotive Service Technician. Technician job duties include:

• Performs automotive services and repairs on automobiles.
• Performs maintenance and repairs on automobiles.
• Responsible for removing, installing, diagnosing, repairing, disassembling and assembling parts, components and engines.
• Performs all duties according to safety procedures. Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• May be required to complete an apprenticeship and/or formal training in area of specialty.
• Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
• Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
• Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

• 2 or more years of previous experience in Automotive Service Technician role
• Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-Mail, Excel and Word
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Confidence in your ability to be successful
• Outstanding communication skills in both verbal and written
• A desire to work in a commission, performance-based, environment
• Great attitude with high-energy personality
• Professional appearance and work ethic
• Timely follow-up
• Ability to work well in a process-driven environment
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver license in the state that you will work and a good driving record

• Moving about the dealership
• Using hand/power tools and equipment consistent with industry standards
• Standing six to eight hours in a shift
• Bending, stretching, lifting, reaching, and climbing
• Utilizing, physical and manual dexterity
• Lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Moving vehicles
• Exhaust fumes
• Other hazardous and non-hazardous materials
• Extreme hot and/or cold
