Momentum PTN is hiring a Social Skills and Community Integration
Assistant (SSCI) to assist leaders in running small groups of children ages 4-12 years, both on site and in the community. As an SSCI Assistant, you will assist with reaching individual developmental goals, while building appropriate social and community skills. Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Promotes a friendly, comfortable, and safe environment
  • Respects and promotes the right of individuals
  • Promotes independence, dignity, and fulfillments
  • Participates in social skills and community integration training
  • Assists and supports the group leader with activities throughout the program, both on site and in the community
  • Takes supplies to off-site sessions (such as snacks, first aid kits, park bags, etc.) per the needs of the group
  • Participates in set-up and clean-up of group program
  • Knows, follows, and upholds Momentum's policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned to meet department and/or business needs
Social Skills & Community Integration Assistant

Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent; required
  • Enrolled in or completion of bachelor's degree; required
  • Basic knowledge of child development and familiarity with MPTN programs and services.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English well enough to perform essential duties and responsibilities; required
  • Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish; preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Communicate and work professionally and cooperatively with others
  • Successfully pass all post-offer, pre-employment screening requirements, including criminal background check, TB test, drug screening, and provide proof of eligibility to work in the United States
  • Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
