* Job Description:

** Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Senior IBM API Connect (APIC) & Data Power Developer with a leading global automotive finance and mobility services organization. This role will support a large-scale enterprise integration and API modernization program focused on building secure, scalable, and highly available integration solutions. The selected candidate will work closely with architecture, cloud, security, and application development teams to develop and support critical APIs, middleware services, and hybrid-cloud integrations supporting business-critical platforms.
** Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:
*** 5+ years of hands-on experience with
** IBM API Connect (APIC)
** and
** IBM Data Power Gateway
** in enterprise environments
* 8+ years of experience in software development, middleware engineering, API development, or enterprise integration solutions
* Strong experience with
** REST APIs, SOAP Web Services, JSON, XML, XSLT, XPath, WSDL, XSD, and Gateway Script
*** Experience implementing API security solutions including
** OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), JWT, Mutual TLS (mTLS), and certificate-based authentication
*** Experience configuring and supporting
** Multi-Protocol Gateway (MPGW), Web Service Proxy (WSP), XML Firewall, SSL/TLS, and Data Power security components
*** Experience with
** AWS cloud environments, Open Shift, Kubernetes, and hybrid-cloud integration architectures
*** Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines utilizing
** Git Hub, Git Lab, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops, or similar automation tools
**** Required Qualifications
*** Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field
* 8+ years of experience in software development, middleware technologies, or enterprise integration
* 5+ years of experience designing, developing, and supporting IBM API Connect (APIC) and IBM Data Power solutions
* Experience developing and managing REST and SOAP APIs within enterprise environments
* Strong understanding of API lifecycle management, governance, and security best practices
* Experience implementing and supporting OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, LDAP integration, and certificate management
* Experience with IBM MQ integration and messaging solutions
* Experience troubleshooting production issues, conducting root cause analysis, and performance tuning
* Experience working within Agile delivery environments
** Preferred Qualifications
*** Experience with in Banking, Financial Services, Consumer Lending, Mortgage, or Automotive Finance industries
* Experience integrating Salesforce, payment gateways, fraud platforms, loan origination systems, or third-party vendor solutions
* Experience with Kafka, IBM Event Streams, or other event-driven architectures
* Experience with IBM Cloud Pak for Integration (CP4I)
* Experience with AWS services including VPC, NLB, S3, networking, and security controls
* Experience using monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, App Dynamics, ELK, Grafana, or Prometheus
* Experience building APIC analytics dashboards and reporting solutions
* Experience mentoring team members and providing technical leadership on enterprise integration initiatives

** Pay Range:** $40-67.96
