Position
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:30 PM
Major Duties and Responsibilities
+ A Brokerage CSR will be expected to ensure timely and accurate operations while providing exceptional customer service within the Brokerage Department.
+ Ensure a smooth and timely customs process flow for all customs related activities
+ Daily execution of workflow and department metrics
+ Transfer declaration information from commercial documents, or other sources into our customs entry system
+ Accurate and timely data entry to allow for the build of a complete US Customs declaration
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with the customers and government organizations
+ Ensure compliance to regulations at all times, both internal and external
+ Track and Trace shipments for valid data transmission to US customs and Partner Government Agencies
+ Understand customer expectation to ensure all the elements of the SOP and KPI's are met
+ Identify and manage exceptions while also identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
+ Effectively manage and organize emails for timely follow up
Minimum Qualifications:
+ High School Degree or equivalent required
+ Successful candidates must pass a background check
+ Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
+ Must not require future sponsorship for employment visa
+ Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
+ Must have the ability to work overtime in support of the department's needs
+ Must be able to commute to the city of Jurupa or Torrance, CA
+ Comfortable with numbers and basic mathematical skills
+ Comfortable working in an office environment
Desired Qualifications
+ Customer Service: 6 months to 1 year experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred but not required. We hire for attitude and train for skill.
+ Understanding of transportation and US Customs documentation is a plus
+ Effective interpersonal skills, including proven abilities to listen, comprehend, effectively communicate clearly and concisely to obtain positive results
+ Pro-active, strong organizational skills
+ Strong desire to learn
+ Sense of urgency and works well under pressure
+ Immense attention to detail
+ Team player mentality
+ Good computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, One Note)

The wage for this position is $19.00-$28.00 per hour.
