Count, weigh or measure items on incoming and outgoing shipments and verify information against invoices and records;
Determine method of shipment using knowledge of procedures, routes, and rates;
Keep bins, aisles and storage areas clean and clearly labeled;
Maintain receiving and shipping records and related documentation;
Unpack and examine shipments, reject damaged items, record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify issues;
Ensure outgoing shipments meet specifications;
Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies;
Operate heavy machinery (e.g., forklift, pallet jack)
