Summary
Under limited supervision, the Warehouse Driver operates a company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment, arranging the most efficient route. The Senior Warehouse Driver also provides warehouse support at the branch location as needed.
Compensation$19.89 - $24.88 per hour.
Job Duties- Operates company vehicle to pick up and deliver local orders and equipment as required.
- Sorts assignments and arranges the most efficient route.
- Maintains Vendor Managed Inventory programs at customer locations.
- Organizes products in reverse delivery order and loads them into the delivery vehicle.
- Unloads products at the customer location and obtains customer signature on the packing slip as proof of delivery.
- Determines which items need to be picked, checked, and shipped from sales orders.
- Prepares items for delivery to customers.
- Secures packages to prevent damage during shipping.
- May assist with restocking products on shelves.
- Assists less experienced Warehouse Drivers with addressing customer needs, locating items, and resolving problems.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and three (3) to five (5) years of experience.
Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesBasic math and reading comprehension skills. Basic computer skills.
Physical DemandsMust be able to move up to 100 lbs and lift up to 50 lbs.
Licenses & CertificationsValid driver’s license and annual review of driving record. Road test required upon hire. All company vehicles are subject to continuous video monitoring. Internal training and certifications required upon hire. Medical Card / DOT Physical. May be required to earn safety certifications for specific customers. Must comply with applicable federal DOT guidelines.
