Position Summary
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for assisting in overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow across receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping. This role serves as a hands‑on leader, supporting team productivity, maintaining accuracy, and ensuring adherence to company standards and safety protocols. The Warehouse Lead plays a critical role in supporting direct‑to‑consumer (D2C) fulfillment operations and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inbound Operations- Oversee and participate in the unloading of inbound shipments
- Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, ASNs, and packing lists
- Inspect goods for damage, accuracy, and compliance with requirements
- Ensure proper labeling, lot tracking, and system receipt (WMS)
- Coordinate put‑away and ensure proper inventory placement
- Plan, prepare, and oversee outbound shipments (parcel, LTL, FTL)
- Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and shipped on time
- Verify order accuracy, labeling, and documentation before release
- Coordinate carrier pickups and staging of outbound freight
- Troubleshoot and resolve shipping discrepancies
- Supervise daily pick/pack operations for D2C and marketplace orders (Amazon, Walmart, etc.)
- Ensure order accuracy, packaging standards, and SLA compliance
- Monitor productivity and optimize workflows for efficiency
- Train team members on proper picking, packing, and quality standards
- Ensure proper use of WMS and scanning processes
- Lead, train, and motivate warehouse associates and team leads
- Assign daily tasks and monitor performance against KPIs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards
- Support cross‑functional coordination (inventory, purchasing, transportation)
- Support cycle counts and inventory audits
- Ensure proper lot control, FIFO/FEFO practices where applicable
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Maintain accurate system records and reporting
- Identify inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
- Support implementation of SOPs and operational best practices
- Assist in scaling operations as volume grows
- 2–3+ years of warehouse or fulfillment experience (3PL preferred)
- 1+ years in a lead or supervisory role
- Experience with D2C fulfillment and pick/pack operations
- Familiarity with WMS systems
- Strong understanding of shipping methods (parcel, LTL, FTL)
- Ability to lead teams in a fast‑paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Standing, walking, bending for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment
- Experience with e‑commerce fulfillment in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of lot control and regulated goods (if applicable)
- Forklift certification
