O&G Industries -Accounting Manager – Torrington

O&G Industries, Inc., an innovative and diversified construction company based out of Torrington, CT, seeks an Accounting Manager to join our team. We are a highly respected leader in our field and ranked as one of the top construction firms in the Northeast.

• Develop and maintain accounting procedures and controls to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Oversee the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements.
• Ensure all financial records comply with GAAP and company policies.
• Oversee accounting for subsidiaries.
• Supervise, develop, and mentor accounting staff.
• Maintain the general ledger and ensure accuracy of all journal entries.
• Review and approve account reconciliations.
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity.
• Work with multiple company’s company consolidation.
• Work with external auditors.
• Participate in special projects including software upgrades.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• 7+ years of accounting experience (including 3+ years in a supervisory role)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting practices
• Proficiency with accounting tools/software
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
• Strong organizational and communication skills
