Salary: $100,000 - $135,000 per year

Role Overview

The Assistant Controller is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day accounting operations and supporting accurate financial reporting and compliance. This role provides guidance to the accounting team and partners with internal stakeholders to support business objectives, controls, and reporting needs. Position reports to Controller.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enhance accounting procedures and internal controls to support accurate and timely reporting
  • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly and annual financial statements
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in accordance with GAAP and internal policies
  • Support accounting activities for multiple entities and consolidated reporting
  • Supervise, coach, and develop accounting staff
  • Oversee general ledger activity, journal entries, and account reconciliations
  • Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity and investigate variances
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support audit requests
  • Participate in special projects, including systems enhancements and process improvements
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibility
  • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general accounting practices
  • Experience with accounting systems and related tools
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
  • High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative working style
