Staff Accountant With Opportunity For Growth
Torrington, CT Area
Salary range of $55,000-$68,000. Company offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k and paid time off.
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join their accounting team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with a strong understanding of debits and credits, hands-on experience with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, and a solid foundation in general ledger accounting.
Responsibilities- Assist with day-to-day Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
- Record and post accurate journal entries
- Perform bank, account, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with month-end close, including account analysis and preparation of journal entries
- Maintain accurate and organized general ledger accounts
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
- Assist with maintaining supporting documentation for financial transactions
- Review transactions for accuracy and proper account classification
- Support the accounting team with various reporting and analysis projects
- Assist with other accounting functions and special projects as needed
