Float Teacher

Overview

Brooker Memorial Early Learning and Child Care Center is seeking an experienced, responsible, nurturing Float Teacher to join our team. We are looking for reliable, energetic, and enthusiastic individuals who thrive in a team environment and are passionate about working with children. This position supports multiple classrooms, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children ranging from 6 weeks old through third grade.

The position may become a classroom teaching position at a later date.

• Supervise children and participate in physical care to ensure a safe and nurturing learning environment.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that support children's development.
• Assist with classroom organization, including maintaining a clean and structured space.
• Communicate effectively with parents during pick-up times.
• Work under the supervision of classroom teachers and the Director.
• Adapt to different classroom settings and age groups as needed.

• A minimum of 2 years experience working in a licensed childcare center
• Associate's degree in Early Childhood or related field
• Candidates with a CDA and experience may also be considered
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly.
• Must be able to stand for the majority of the shift, bend, stoop, and sit on the floor.
• Agility to move quickly from a seated to a standing position to respond to emergencies.
• Strong hearing and visual capabilities to effectively supervise children.
• Consistent attendance is essential.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour (based on experience and education)
