Brooker Memorial is seeking an experienced Dental Program Manager to help lead a respected, community-based nonprofit pediatric dental clinic serving children and families across northwest Connecticut. This is a full‑time, in‑person position.

Position OverviewThe Dental Program Manager provides operational and administrative leadership for Brooker Memorial’s Dental Center. This position oversees clinic operations, financial tracking, staff coordination, community partnerships, and program development to ensure efficient services and long‑term sustainability.
Job ResponsibilitiesOperations & Patient Experience
- Lead daily dental center operations to ensure efficient workflows and a welcoming patient experience.
- Monitor scheduling practices to support provider productivity and reduce cancellations.
- Address patient concerns professionally and implement strategies to strengthen satisfaction.
- Oversee billing processes, insurance claims, receivables, reconciliations, and reporting.
- Manage credentialing, contracts, payer compliance (including Medicaid/HUSKY), inventory, vendors, and equipment.
- Track monthly production goals and performance metrics.
- Monitor patient data and reporting requirements.
- Assist with annual program and capital budgets.
- Support financial sustainability through careful monitoring of revenue and expenditures.
- Supervise and support administrative staff while partnering with the Dental Director on clinical team needs.
- Foster a collaborative, respectful workplace culture through coaching and mentorship.
- Lead staff meetings and promote strong communication across the dental team.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and staff retention efforts.
- Coordinate outreach programs with internal teams.
- Represent Brooker Dental in community initiatives and professional networks.
- Maintain strong referral relationships with pediatricians and local providers.
- Support grant reporting and program monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and payer requirements.
- Oversee policy updates and procedure manuals.
- Manage practice management software and prepare reports for leadership and funders.
- Participate actively in agency leadership initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director on strategic growth.
- Stay informed on pediatric dental trends, public health issues, and reimbursement changes.
- Bachelor’s degree in management or related field preferred.
- At least three years of experience in a dental, healthcare, social services, or related setting.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build trust, and foster collaboration.
- Strong knowledge of insurance billing, and Medicaid/HUSKY processes.
- Experience with dental practice management software (Eaglesoft preferred).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
- Commitment to equitable, community‑based care and working with diverse populations.
- Ability to work in‑person in Northwest Connecticut.
- Flexibility for occasional evenings or Saturdays.
- Salary dependent on qualifications and experience.
