Torrington Middle School in Torrington, Wyoming, is seeking a certified special education teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. Salary is based on education and experience. The position includes a comprehensive benefits package, including health, vision, and dental insurance. The start date is August 10, 2026.
Torrington Middle School serves students in grades 6-8. This position will work with students who have significant support needs, providing individualized academic, behavioral, and functional skill instruction in alignment with each student’s IEP.
Purpose StatementThe job of Teacher - Special Education was established for the purpose/s of developing special education students' success in academics, interpersonal skills and activities of daily living by implementing district approved curriculum; documenting teaching and student progress/activities, outcomes; addressing students' specific needs; providing a safe and optimal learning environment; and providing feedback to students, parents and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
This position reports to the building principal.

Experience Job related experience is desired.
Continuing Educ./Training Maintains PTSB certification by earning 5 credit hours per every 5 year renewal period
Certificates & Licenses Professional Teaching Standards Board Certification with applicable Special Education endorsement(s)
