Long Term Substitute Teacher for Special Education Pre-K at Vogel Wetmore Elementary School. Applicants must hold or be eligible for a valid State of Connecticut teaching certificate or long term substitute authorization for appropriate endorsement for special education Pre-K.
The Pre-K Special Education Teacheris responsible for designing and implementing individualized instruction that meets the developmental and learning needs of students with disabilities alongside their typically developing peers. They collaborate closely with related service providers, families, and general education staff to support IEP goals through inclusive, play-based learning experiences. The teacher also monitors student progress, ensures compliance with special education regulations, and fosters a nurturing, developmentally appropriate environment for all learners.
This long term assignment to start on August 24, 2026 and run through approximately the end of March 2027. Rate of pay is equivalent to Level I Step 1 of our Teachers Collective Bargaining Agreement, which is equal to $239.40 a day.
