Para educator - Media Assistant

Para educator Media Assistant position for assignment located at Torrington High School (grades 9-12). Job Summary and Functions:
Performs varied duties in the circulation of library resources in a school Media Center. Assists students and staff in using library/media facilities, equipment, resources and services and performs varied tasks associated with library/media work. Provides task supervision to student helpers and to volunteers.

Qualifications:

Associate Degree and/or 60 college credits or successful passing of the Para-Pro Exam. Previous experience working in a school setting or with groups of children preferred.

Terms of Employment: 10-month schedule, 184 work days, 35 hours per week. Starting pay in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement is $19.15 per hour, with comprehensive medical benefit package and tuition reimbursement.
