TEAM Mentor Training
TEAM is designed around five professional growth modules in order to provide a framework for support of new teachers. These five modules are focused on the domains of the Common Core of Teaching (CCT):
Classroom environment and student engagement Planning for active learning Instruction for active learning Assessment of learning Professional responsibility and teacher leadership Experienced teachers wishing to be trained for the first time as TEAM Mentors or Cooperating teacher to a student teacher must complete the full application and supporting documents. Teachers working as cooperating teachers for a student teacher are compensated directly by the university in the amount specified by the university, only.
Teachers selected need to attend all days of in-person training, and complete additional synchronous work to successfully complete the New Mentor Training.
