Position SummarySite Support Staff provide non-instructional support at EdAdvance Adult & Continuing Education program sites. Depending on the assigned site's needs, responsibilities may include welcoming and directing students and visitors; monitoring site access; if needed, supporting childcare and supervision for minor children of adult learners; and supporting the Site Coordinator with general site operations.
Site Support Staff play an important role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive environment for adult learners, their families, and program staff.
Major Responsibilities1. Student, Visitor, and Site Support
- Greet students, staff, visitors, and others entering the program site in a welcoming, professional manner.
- Follow site procedures for student and visitor sign-in and monitor access to designated program areas.
- Direct students and visitors to the appropriate classroom, office, or program area.
- Assist with maintaining an orderly, safe, and welcoming environment at the program site.
- Follow building access, safety, and other site-specific procedures.
- Notify the Site Coordinator promptly of safety concerns, building issues, unauthorized access, or other concerns that may affect program operations.
When assigned childcare responsibilities:
- Provide attentive and appropriate supervision of minor children of adult education learners while their parents or guardians participate in program activities.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for children.
- Follow EdAdvance policies and site procedures related to child supervision and safety.
- Communicate any concerns regarding a child's safety, behavior, or well-being to the Site Coordinator.
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and confidentiality when working with children and families.
- Communicate respectfully and effectively with adult learners, children, staff, visitors, and community partners.
- Work cooperatively with the Site Coordinator, instructors, and other program staff.
- Report questions, concerns, incidents, or unusual situations to the Site Coordinator promptly.
- Perform other duties related to site support as assigned by the Site Coordinator or Director.
Site Support Staff work under the supervision of the Program Site Coordinators and the Director of Adult & Continuing Education.
Qualifications- Regular and consistent attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with adult learners, children, staff, and visitors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to follow directions, procedures, and established site protocols.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when working with students, families, and staff.
