Job Description & How to Apply Below

The Mechanical/Mechatronics Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting mechanical and electromechanical systems used across new product development, automation, and production environments. This role combines mechanical design expertise with hands-on fabrication knowledge and systems integration skills, ensuring that equipment, components, and assemblies meet performance, reliability, and manufacturability requirements.

Design & Development
  • Design and develop mechanical and mechatronic systems, assemblies, and components—including mechanisms, fixtures, automation systems, and tooling.
  • Apply mechanical engineering principles in combination with electrical, pneumatic, and control elements to create integrated solutions.
  • Generate 3D models, detailed drawings, BOMs, and fabrication specifications.
  • Develop and prototype custom parts using welding, forming, machining, cutting, and other metal fabrication processes.
  • Provide mechanical and mechatronic support throughout all phases of new product development.
Fabrication & Manufacturing Support
  • Collaborate with internal and external fabrication teams to ensure manufacturability, proper material selection, and adherence to specifications.
  • Provide technical support to production, maintenance, and engineering teams for equipment installation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
  • Improve existing systems through design modifications, component upgrades, and performance optimization.
  • Create assembly procedures, test plans, and standard work instructions.
Systems Integration & Testing
  • Integrate sensors, actuators, motors, pneumatic systems, and control hardware into mechanical assemblies.
  • Execute system testing, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
  • Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and implement corrective actions for mechanical and electromechanical failures.
  • Work closely with automation, electrical, and controls engineers to ensure cohesive system functionality.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong mechanical design background with hands‑on knowledge of welding, machining, forming, cutting, and standard fabrication practices.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software such as Solid Works, Inventor, or CREO.
  • Familiarity with electrical/controls fundamentals (PLC interfaces, sensors, actuators, wiring basics).
  • Experience with automation systems, robotics, pneumatics, or electromechanical devices preferred.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, fabrication prints, and schematics.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for mechanical and electromechanical systems.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Hands‑on aptitude for prototyping, assembly, and testing.
