Professional Counselor – State of Connecticut, Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS).

Location:

Torrington, CT.

Schedule:

Full-time, 40 hours, 1st shift, Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Salary: $86,261 - $116,571/year. Final date to receive applications: 3/2/2026.

Location details, facility and unit:
Western Connecticut Mental Health Network (WCMHN), Outpatient Team, Torrington, CT.

• Provides clinical services, including individual, group and family treatment to adults who have behavioral health, substance abuse and trauma issues.
• May provide clinical case management.
• Provides trauma-informed services and care to clients.
• Assesses and manages risk and coordinates responsive care to clients who are in crisis.
• Completes psychosocial assessments, risk assessments and person-centered recovery plans.
• Participates in case conferences and critical incident reviews.
• Documents treatment in the electronic health record in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
• Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team.
• Participates in organizational committees and trainings as directed.
• Consults and works collaboratively with contract agencies, community providers and state and community hospitals around coordinating client care.

• MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
• Licensure as a professional counselor in the State of Connecticut.
