Job SummaryOutpatient Behavioral Health Psychiatric Technician provides direct patient care and clinician support in adult ambulatory behavioral health higher level of care programs that include:
Partial Hospital, Intensive Outpatient, and Extended Day Treatment. Technicians implement individual behavior plans for patients, facilitate skill-based groups to improve self-control, distress tolerance, and social skills. Technicians are also responsible for monitoring/supervising of patients in the program milieu during clinical group, therapeutic activities, restroom/meal breaks; movement of individuals/groups throughout the program setting; and during transportation related activities involving waiting for transportation or supervising patients on vans while being driven to/from program.
- Associate's degree or extensive work experience in behavioral health settings
- Bachelor's degree in behavioral health or related field is preferred
- One year of experience in a behavioral health, residential, or school setting
- CPI certification
