Responsible for providing leadership and organizing the flow of work of their area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Production Lead position at Altek ElectronicsIncludesthe following, other duties may be assigned:
- Ensure that operators complete job duties on time while maintaining a steady flow of work
- Support and champion CFM and lean manufacturing methodologies.
- Facilitate the training of employees per Altek’s training requirements
- Maintain and update the Takt board as necessary
- Review and understand the production/shipping schedule(s)
- Provide guidance and instruction to operators to improve competence
- Schedule, conduct, & document meetings with line operators at least twice per week
- Perform all normal job functions/duties of your area
- Responsible for understanding & following company, and or manufacturing guidelines/procedures
- Responsible for product quality as defined by internal and external customers, work instructions, specifications and procedures
- Responsible for following established safety rules & 6S
- Monitor associates’ productivity and make adjustments as needed to improve throughput
- Informsupervisorsofanyexistingand/orpotentialemployeeissues
- Ability to provide direction
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lead in a team environment with minimal supervision
- Must have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work involves lifting of material and product up to 30 pounds.
